When the Scandinavian cycling team Uno-X Mobility races in the Tour de France, it is Infomedia that analyzes and documents the team’s media exposure. Likewise, when DSB performs its monthly social media score analysis, Infomedia is behind it. During parliamentary or European Parliament elections, Infomedia compiles data-driven trends and facts.

The Infomedia Group is the leading Media Intelligence provider in the Nordics and an expert in media monitoring and analysis. Following the merger with Swedish Retriever, the company now has 400 employees and a revenue of approximately DKK 570 million.

Why InfoSuite?

The consolidation process was simply too manual and time-consuming.

“We experienced challenges with our ‘light consolidation solution’. It has now been replaced by InfoSuite, which automates reporting and consolidation across the Group’s current six companies. We have high expectations for the automated process and the future time savings it will bring. With the merger with Retriever, we can now easily integrate Retriever’s seven companies into our consolidation, even though they use Visma.net and not D365 BC like the other entities,” says Group CFO Kate Wichmann.

The solution

With InfoSuite, Infomedia has implemented an Azure Cloud solution that retrieves data from both D365 Business Central and Visma.net.

The following are now automated as part of the consolidation process:

  • Intercompany transactions
  • Currency conversion
  • Unified chart of accounts

  • Real-time overview with always up-to-date data

  • Exchange rate differences and intercompany balances now match — without time-consuming manual corrections

Expectations for InfoSuite

Previously, Infomedia had to validate the consolidation for all its companies before figures could be used in the monthly reporting. Even the smallest discrepancy would prevent the process from continuing, making it cumbersome and time-intensive. Any data changes meant the entire process had to be repeated. With InfoSuite, data is automatically consolidated as soon as figures are updated.

Kate Wichmann expects the InfoSuite solution to reduce time spent, enabling faster month-end closings and more reliable reporting.
