Hans Foelsgaard has been a customer of InfoSuite since 2005 – a collaboration that began with the need for a Data Warehouse.
The aim was also to achieve faster, more automated data processing, easier distribution of reports in a more refined format, and the ability to drill down through the data – from customer to item number and invoice number.
InfoSuite was able to meet all of these requirements.

About the solution:
Hans Foelsgaard’s InfoSuite solution has evolved over time and grown in step with the company. Today, they use InfoSuite BI across sales, inventory, purchasing, and finance with employees across business areas relying daily on the generated reports for follow-up and insight.
On the budgeting side, they work with models tailored to Hans Foelsgaard’s way of doing business, covering sales, payroll, and finance. This ensures that departments work within the same template they’re familiar with from their day-to-day reporting.
The profit and loss statement in finance is structured to allow follow-up by business area. Fixed costs from shared departments and functions are allocated to the business areas using distribution keys – some based on turnover and number of employees, others on time spend and space usage. This enables the creation of departmental accounts that reflect the full cost picture.
Thanks to this financial setup, management and department head can monitor performance on a daily basis and use it as a tool to assess whether they’re on track to meet their budgets.
